Tapestry Wormwood Belt (Medium)

The Wormwood belt is a corset style belt. This belt is based on 19th century "Swiss waist" belts which were decorative belts, or sometimes bodice-like accessories meant to be worn on the outside of your clothing. They were particularly popular in the 1860s. This is a great way to fancy up an outfit or change its silhouette.

This limited version is made from a 1990s/2000s upholstery scrap. It acted like cotton when I did a burn test. It is a lovely Gobelin/tapestry style with floral bouquets. The edges are bound with a poly dupioni in black, and it is lined with a cotton twill in black.

This belt has lightweight rigilene boning in the center front, and at the center back. It is adjustable with a lace up panel in the back and laces with elastic cord for comfort.

The belt itself measures 29.5"

Belt measures 7" in center front, 2" at sides, and 4.75" at center back.
